After almost 4 months of #LongCovid I am finally starting to bounce back. I felt a little bit sick in the final week of 2021 with a sore throat. by New Years Eve I was in bed sick. Then came 3 debilitating months of no energy and worry. Happy to say I am back now! 💪

@ts very glad to hear you are recovering. I have been suffering from Long COVID for about two years. Have you found anything that has helped you start to recover?

@Exsangus yes. Though I still have mental fog, I found that going for long walks despite exhaustion resulted in big improvements. From what I have read, it effects how the heart rate rate is regulated, so it is good to get the heart ramped up.

@ts I would try upping my running in the beginning, but ended up making things worse. Maybe the key is walking before I run. I will give that a try!

@Exsangus I have heard from others that intense exercise is followed by days of extreme exhaustion. I have been doing brisk walks for a month and now I can do jump rope and weightlifting without spiking my heart rate. My recovery time is longer than before, but that is likely due to past inactivity. I plan on doing more strenuous cardio soon. One step at a time I suppose.

@ts Did a short walk today, it felt pretty good, and so far it seems to have given me a slight energy boost. Won’t know for sure if I overdid it until tomorrow, though.

@Exsangus Long day at 👟 work today so I could only emoji respond. Good stuff, keep it up if you can, I am going for a solid walk right now.

@ts Feeling a lot better today, going to try a longer walk today. Can't believe something so simple is making such a big difference. If the trend continues, the hardest part for me will be to keep myself from going back to running too soon.
