@democracyrocks @futurebird The capacity to handle these sorts of catastrophes seems to be lacking. Example: First hauling contaminated soil spreads some of the dirt on town streets, then they use conventional street sweepers to "clean" it up which risks raising more dust. Also note the mayor's comment at the end of the article: "In some places, residents say it still smells like chemicals. They want to know when that will be gone. The mayor says he has not been given a timetable for that but believes the smell is coming from the creek near the tracks."
