I’m glad to see there’s an amendment that could give them compensation. That’s what I skimmed the article to see.
My (white) dad worked as an engineer at the Hanford nuclear site from the late 70s through the 90s. He just died this year of bone cancer. My mom was able to successfully file a claim under a different law that covers his situation. Everyone who has been hurt by the government’s mishandling of radioactive and toxic material deserve compensation. I hope this amendment passes and the compensation is decent.
