Not for nothing, but we’re continuing to transport more and more COVID patients recently. We might be tired of COVID but it sure isn’t tired of us. Stay safe out there everyone

Why did the mansplainer drown in the puddle?

It was a well, actually

This is my timely reminder you don't need to be good at the things you enjoy doing.

You're allowed to be mediocre and you don't need to aspire to be better. 💖

1000 years ago some Viking craftsman lost all his equipment in the lake Mästermyr on the island of Gotland. In 1936 the wooden chest containing all the tools were found at the bottom of the former lake, which now had turned into a bog.

@DavePolaschek Thanks for doing these pages, it’s really neat to see these tools being put to work!

@Lowie Thank you. I spent 45 years as a "dishonest" writer. That's how long I kept a deep, dark secret from myself about something that happened. That I knew happened. A storyteller who can't (or won't) tell their own story isn't much of a storyteller. I hope I'm cured of that disease.

1/12 This 🧵 is called "That Ol' Black Magic".

My Sister and I were having one of our long, deep, philosophical conversations today, and she asked me:

“Given that you are science minded, do you think Black people are magic?”

I thought on this for a long, long moment.

My conclusion is that Black people are magic, and here is my proof.

When we hear about a "seemingly happy" person dying of suicide, we should all be thinking about what we can do to help people with depression. Depression is a chronic, invisible (mostly) illness. Many people have it. There is treatment. There are ways to help. But we all have to pay more attention to those we love. Sometimes there are signs, sometimes not. Slow down. Take time to listen.

@JustAMomNamedMM@mstdn.social That sounds really crummy, sending good thoughts your way. You’re right, it won’t last forever, you’ll make it through to the other side
