Debian Users - Be aware the maintainer of the KeePassXC package for Debian has unilaterally decided to remove ALL features from it. You will need to switch to `keepassxc-full` to maintain capabilities once this lands outside of testing/sid.

I made a point to use AI in my software development work as much as humanly possible over the last 2-3 months. Here is what I found:

The bad

- I understood my code less the more I used Copilot
- I learned far less the more I used Copilot and ChatGPT

The ugly

- ChatGPT hallucinates *badly* if you try to use it on any niche or lesser-known library.
- Copilot struggles to write decent code outside of boilerplate initialization, type definitions and calls to your own API
- ChatGPT is god-awful at Rust.

The good

- AI/LLM's should be used for what they were meant to be used for: information synthesis
- AI is not going to take your job, unless your job is writing boilerplate code so simple a braindead chimp could bang it out over the course of an hour
- Developers who learn how to properly synergize with AI tools will become at least marginally more effective.

The Stack Overflow rugpull is another data point in my head which discourages me from contributing *any* content to a store owned by a corporation.

I’m hoping that ActivityPub will one day enable SO-style knowledge bases in which the individual nuggets of content are owned by independent servers and cannot be purchased by anyone.
