Interesting interpretation of the AI phenomenon in the context of the monstrous.
AI is one of the ways of being and functioning of machines, specifically: machines (logic gates) capable of calculating through Boolean logic, they do nothing else. Therefore, say that AI "generates language" you are stating that language is the result and product of elaborations. This statement could be a research hypothesis, in fact it was, with poor results to tell the truth. But in the context of research this hypothesis must pass through scientific works and through dialogue with researchers who could support different perspectives. On social media instead it becomes a self-evident truth, even if it is not at all.
This is the real "monster" generated by an AI that is not the fruit of the "sacred temples of research" but of private companies launched in VC operations whose only purpose is the lust for money and power, not knowledge. The AI that today they would like to introduce into educational contexts is a device whose impact on life and learning processes has not yet been studied. Caution seems to me the least that the responsibility of educators can suggest, nothing to do with the "monstrous".
