@IAmErik @Crochetcat @historiavocis @vowe Italy under Mussolini was certainly a fascist state: the word fascismo is derived from fascio, meaning 'bundle of sticks', ultimately from the Latin word fasces. His party /was/ the National Fascist Party.
It could be argued it is again now: PM Meloni's party, Fratelli d’Italia, which leads the current government coalition with La Liga and Forza Italia is neo-fascist.
