@bomkatt I was just thinking probably the original of the genre was The Maltese Falcon, although it didn’t have any distant dangerous wilderness treks, except I guess in exposition a little. Anyway, that I think is the origin of the term “macguffin” as the item everyone is searching for. So maybe these films should be “Macguffin Hunts”.
