Where do things stand in the Arlington Cemetery fiasco?
- #Trump wants to be seen as a victim
- His campaign is picking a fight with the office of the Army secretary
- Congressional Dems are eager to get answers https://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/maddowblog/new-details-suggest-trumps-arlington-controversy-wont-end-soon-rcna168944
Why is this sticking in a way that other things have failed to stick? Is it just the tone the media has taken?
He's crossed these lines before, but this feels different.
The "we did nothing wrong in fact YOU are wrong" tactic isn't working like magic.
@futurebird Because military, sacred ground. This is indeed a line that most won’t tolerate being crossed. @stevebenen
@GottaLaff @futurebird @stevebenen
I think it’s not just the military, but the military dead. We have a mixed record with living military. A lot of folks dissed returning nam vets back in the day. We have an abysmal record with homeless vets, suicide rates for vets are sky high. But the hallowed dead, that’s another story. As a group the military tends to support tfg (I don’t get it) but this might be pissing them off.
@GottaLaff @qurlyjoe @futurebird @stevebenen Just try to imagine the weeks of outrage at Faux News if a Democrat had done this.
