@swordsjew , my grandmother was a gymnast. When she was 17, her father tried to beat her one last time, and she demolished the guy. I think she was exceptionally proud of her actions on that day, and I made sure every one of my kids knew the story, and now my grandkids will know the story.
@swordsjew , just to add, great grand pa was one of those evangelical assholes as well. Surprisingly, a Quaker, but with that 'spare the rod, spoil the child' mentality.
