@LunarLioness814@mastodon.social I appreciate your viewpoint, but disagree. Until police recognize that their occupation isn't even one of the top 10 most dangerous professions, and things like commercial fishermen and landscaping are far more dangerous, their fears fall on deaf ears with me. They treat civilians as the enemy. They have what, twice the instance of domestic violence than other people? And then claim immunity. Yes, there are good police officers. There are good people in any large enough group. ANY. But the way they interact with the public, violating civil rights, destroying the futures of people... building a habitat house or delivering food to the elderly just doesn't compensate. I will never again trust the police. I look at them as a credible threat, no matter what the situation. Too many bad apples.
