Programable logic controllers, the IC chips becoming common, pocket calculators, the space program... Clackers were not part of that. They were loud, and annoying things that people constantly hit each other with. It was like giving kids a set of Nunchaku and telling them to go crazy.
@JonKramer No one above said they were...your assumptions are doing neither of us any favors. It was more a comment on death/maim toys from that era (in response to the lawn-dart comment.)
I found a set in a hope chest when I cleaned out my grandparents home. I thought it was quite funny I immediately had the picture of lawn darts in my head upon discovery.
Other things found: a mason jar with firefly carcases, my first backstitch piece, first tea set and an old milky cow who can still moo.
@AppalachianCrochet What assumption did I make? I made a general statement about the era. One that I think any reasonable person can agree with. If you find my observation inaccurate, feel free to block me.
