What is your FAVOURITE microcontroller? If you're not into embedded, what's your favourite microprocessor? Please go into as much detail as you want! :D I'll start. I think my favourite is the TI TM4C129XNCZAD... powerful ARM M4F with huge number of GPIO, Ethernet MAC/PHY, LCD controller, huge interrupt and DMA flexibility, huge flash storage for a micro (1 MB!), encryption, CAN, I2C, SPI (including QSSI)... the thing is a BEAST. And I have a rare engineering sample chip - XM4C marking!
@amrowsell Motorola 68000. I still love my Amiga.
@amrowsell , yes, but the machine I had (and still might in storage) was 68030. The later ones got really impressive. That chip was used to sell the Atlanta Olympic games, with a 3D model of what the Olympic village would look like. I will never forget my 1st look at one of them, a rollercoaster driving game that was just incredible.
@JonKramer The 68k certainly was a beast! Weren't there some Amigas that could be upgraded to take a 68040?
