This thread is a microcosm of everything annoying about reddit.
A guy posts a photo of a spider wondering if it is a "brown recluse" gets a bunch of different answers many repeats, several people calling him stupid for not 'just googling it' a few calls to burn down the house and move.
It's not a brown recluse. Even if it were they aren't aggressive. Move to a remote location. There is a really good video about the reputation these spiders have I'll link next.
@futurebird , there is a trend on Reddit to try and make everything into a joke, which I actually approve of, since everyone seems to know in advance this is what will happen. I find that google image search is effective, but sometimes just doesn't work, so calls for 'google it' are unnecessarily aggressive and pointless. I think the issue with 'google it' is exacerbated by the people who just never google up the most obvious facts.., and demand others do research for them. There are some who seem to think they have a right to others researching for them... that others have a burden of proof to provide research. To those I say, "google it."
