@gettingcomputey Or, you can pre order an Aptera: https://lz953.isrefer.com/go/preorder/a72642
@gettingcomputey , to be fair, there is no way the Aptera, or any other electric car, could have been manufactured in the 70s and have any hope of success. The technology just didn't exist yet. There were a few that tried, and they universally sucked.
@JonKramer I know, but imo that is because of the route we took. We had electric vehicles really early on, if that had stayed and been researched more, we would have made many advances in that respect.
It was just so easy to use fuel though, specially with the first cars being able to run on different fuels.
I'm most mad about once we understood the risk, and it became "how long can we make money this way before having to switch?" Sold us out.
@gettingcomputey , It's a complex topic, but a few of the factors that had to be addressed are energy density of the batteries, the efficiency of the motors, vehicle weight, charging speed...
@JonKramer yes
@JonKramer Yes, I like that there is stuff like this out there, but this vehicle should be something car companies were making in the 70's when we started to realize the dangers.
This is not the new everyone bought one vehicle, and that's what we need.
