@Melody@masto.ai @w7voa , I feel there will be someone who points out that they could have covered the exits to the area she was in, and held fire instead of killing her. But she could lob little chunks of lead though every wall and door in that uncleared building. THAT was a very credible threat, and the cops reacted with amazing skill and courage.

@Melody@masto.ai @w7voa , Agreed, but I think it shows a flaw in their training. It only took a second or two before a cop kicked the gun(s) away from the corpse, and they didn't open fire on the corpse when she didn't obey, and like I say, it is a minor flaw in their execution. The adrenaline was pumping in those guys, and I see no errors they made in judgement. I am seriously impressed with how they conducted themselves. I doubt there is a reasonable person who can see it differently.

@w7voa , it's rare that I approve of police action, but the cops on scene apparently did everything right, without fear. The only concern I had was them screaming at the perp after they killed her. But that was seconds out of the entire encounter.

@maddad the downside pf getting an educated population, no one qualified yo be a cop.

I think I would be open to consider a law banning all males under 30 from owning or handling any firearm. This would include government employees.

@bkm some genders don't seem to need it. Women don't need research for testicular cancer. Men don't need research for endometriosis.

And women don't commit mass shootings, or, if they do, hens' teeth are more common. I don't know why this is so, but it is. I won't vote for any politician who doesn't openly support studying this issue, as a matter of public health.

@bkm and for the 1st time in memory. The shooter wasn't a young white conservative Christian male.

@Alice , my example of this is my grandparents convincing me I had an ancestor who was the captain of a Chinese submarine in WWII. I think I was about 13 when I figured out this wasn't true.
