@NaturaArtisMagistra , art needs a combat element. And event names like 'broad swords and canvas.'

@StillIRise1963 I had one I saved years ago... last time I had this conversation. The picture was of a rather pert female butt in spandex, with a male hand grabbing one cheek. They were selling the spandex, I think. My guess was they were trying to get men to buy the pants for women.

@StillIRise1963 , I think it starts with Wilhelm Wundt and some of his students, most notably Walter Dill Scott. These guys figured out how to manipulate folks into buying desires, rather than needs. It's fascinating how easily we all fall for it. There is another name right on the tip of my tongue.... but it eludes me for now.

But yes, it is also ridiculous.

@StillIRise1963 , it's advertising. I can't remember the name of the guy who invented the concept, of creating desires for people, rather than meeting needs of the people. Let me hit google before going further...

@StillIRise1963 the same is true in many different formats. You will never drive you Kia on a race track, your perfume will never make the opposite sex swoon, and don't even think about emulating porn.

@bkm , my kind of dinner plans... I have a bottle of Kirkland tequila I'll bring.

@w7voa and I call on all Israeli people to bring down their fascist government. It's time. End apartheid. Restore democracy. Respect human rights.

@lowqualityfacts they do have that perk, but recently the rules changed so they have to wait at least 15 mins to masturbate after patting down a child.

@LindaCollins11 I feel sure you are referring to the 2022 case, that said after school events, when the coach was no longer in charge of students, he could pray publicly:

@morachbeag libraries were my go to escape when I was a child. Everything you say about them is true.

Looks like the Kentucky governor vetoed the "lets abuse the trans kids" bill the GQP passed. His veto will be overturned, but he did put up a slight fight.

It will really help to understand my posts if before reading one, you take a drink of soda.

Trust me.

@JonKramer
That's a strong argument against copyright extension.

@psychictides@beige.party , I'm not falling for that a sixth time, cop.

I really strongly think we need a few new amendments. One of them is nice and short:

"A well educated population being necessary for a free state, the right of the people to keep and read books shall not be infringed."
