@AppalachianCrochet What assumption did I make? I made a general statement about the era. One that I think any reasonable person can agree with. If you find my observation inaccurate, feel free to block me.
@DenOfEarth @AppalachianCrochet @DrOinFLA@lounge.town , there are many things to commend about the 60s and 70s. Programable logic controllers, the IC chips becoming common, pocket calculators, the space program... Clackers were not part of that. They were loud, and annoying things that people constantly hit each other with. It was like giving kids a set of Nunchaku and telling them to go crazy.

@yurnidiot , there was a short story from about 1995 that had a woman replaced by A.I. after her death. Not sure the source, but I suspect Asimov's magazine.
