The upgrade to Mastodon v4.1.0 for every instance on Masto.host is about to start.

This is a slow process because instances are upgraded one by one and require a restart. This will cause a ~30 second downtime.

Double Fine just released this incredible documentary from 2 Player Productions about the making of Psychonauts 2 (also Psychonauts the orginal and Rhombus of Ruin). It's maybe the most open, honest, and frankly, brutal documentary about the making of games out there.

It starts where the Double Fine Adventure docu leaves off. Lots of personal life stuff happens to me in it and it's been very bittersweet for me to watch. :')

If you want, you can move your Mastodon account from one instance (server) to another.

Moving lets you take your followers, follows and some settings with you.

1. Create a new account on the instance you want to move to, but DO NOT delete the old account.

2. Log into your NEW account, go to Edit Profile > Moving From A Different Account, click on "create an account alias" and follow the instructions.

3. Log into your OLD account, go to Edit Profile > Move To A Different Account, click on "configure it here" and follow the instructions.

4. On your OLD account, go to Preferences > Import And Export > Data Export and download the settings and follows lists.

5. On your NEW account, go to Preferences > Import And Export > Import and upload the lists you just downloaded in the previous step.

After doing all these, your old account will redirect to the new one, and your followers will transfer automatically (with a short delay).

StreetPass is a cool new browser extension that uses Mastodon's verification system in a clever way.

Mastodon users verify themselves by adding a custom link to their personal site. StreetPass lets you know when you've found one of these links, and adds them to your list. As you browse the web, StreetPass will build a list of Mastodon users that belong to the websites you visit.

Hey #RetroGaming folks of #Mastodon:

I am looking to potentially invest in a handheld for emulating #RetroGames. Specifically, I want get old games I have owned scattered across various consoles to be playable on one. Now, I know the SteamDeck is a solid option for this, but it's expensive.

So, looking for other ideas.

So far, I've read some great reviews for Anbernic's RG353M (which is in a reasonable price range), but am open to suggestions.
