Anything short of taking all the assault weapons off America's streets - and out of the hands of the people using them - is a bullshit answer to a life-threatening problem.

America is drowning in blood and absurdity. We've convinced ourselves that there's such a thing as "responsible gun ownership".

There isn't. There's good luck and bad luck. Good luck means the gun owner and people around them will get off unscathed. Bad luck means people are going to die.

Nancy Lanza wasn't the Sandy Hook shooter - her son Adam was - but she may as well have been. Her "responsible gun ownership" took a sudden, unexpected turn to irresponsibility one night while she slept. Her son Adam shot Nancy with her own legal weapons. Then he headed out to Sandy Hook Elementary to deal with his rage.

How goddamned big does the pile of bodies have to be?

@Alan I ask myself this same question after every shooting... Sadly, I think until some of those idiots who are against common sense gun control are affected by this, they'll never change... And yes, it's mostly republicans who are to blame... Don't get me wrong, I'm in favor of someone being able to protect themselves by having a gun, but NO ONE, except for those in the army, should have a firearm, designed to kill... 6 people, 3 of who are small children are dead... God Bless them...

@customer228 @Alan Sadly, the quickest and the most reliable way to stop/incapacitate a human involves killing (or at least maiming, in case there's swift medical help available) one, hence firearms are most often the best self defense tools available.

@L29Ah I agree... Going into a gun battle without a gun, is...futile...even if you're some martial arts expert...
