Law

All "#law" is illegitimate and an usurpation. Men cannot create law. Voting cannot create law. Voting is merely a tool for a group to attain consensus. A group may agree on a rule. A group may agree to wage war against other individuals to "enforce the rule", which does not make a law. There can only be moral law, the kind of law that each individual arrives at on their own, chooses for themselves

@nobody What about law as a custom? Gotta agree on the rules of interaction somehow, and negotiating literally everything before the interaction itself is unfeasible.

> law as a custom

...is perfectly fine, and I think we rely on it a lot more than on The Law. It is common and natural to make choices by following a convention, and it is natural to ask people what the convention is 🤷‍♂️ like yes, this often saves the trouble of annoying others, and generally favours people building more composable and sustainable structures

...nor is there anything wrong with organizing "customs" into structured and navigable guidebooks, keeping track of the various employed practices and the historical context of the past decisions. What you want to share your experience and help us make better decisions? By all means

As long as we don't pretend that the "rule" is somehow sacred and immovable
