I love how people still believe that democracy can be driven by election.

Election drives the majority rule, not democracy. Anyone there, so deep in politics, that one can ever vote for them, is a unscrupulous asshole. That’s so evident, that I wonder how it’s not yet listed on the Wikipedia page for “Leadership.”
