Dear Friends of Buy Nothing Day,
Bum! Sugar! ... and fiddlesticks!
(ye olde #English swearing). Well if I was more of a #rebel ally, I would NOT have ordered a weakly food delivery from Sainsburys who are a bit dear. Oh the shame of it! ... Maybe I can suggest to their mismanaging Die-rector that supporting a #free #food day would be the greatest marketing #gimmick since Coke taught the #world to #sing? As #recompense I will be:
- Eating my own #ouroboros
- Not damsel fly ing without wings
- Cancel my reddit cards and Get Out of Jail free card
... wait a minute I can-can do more
- join the pirate party
- join the Men In Black
- become an echo worrier
Sadly, I spent the whole day sorting out my food shopping.
Well #food arrived three items short AND we were charged for them. I wrote to the CEO, got a reply and £10 voucher for a presumptuous online future purchase. My reply may have been from an executive bot designated Amy. It/she was far too polite, informing me the CEO had read my email. Wot? Really? Not convinced.
Their website is a mess of #nectar/#loyalty 'points' #discounts, #special offers and awful marketing tactics.
Completely #soul-destroying.
Well that was #Sainsburys UK. Not too keen on #Morrison's my backup as they drive all the way from #Erith to deliver. Maybe will just try a walk in #Lidl, the thing is they are nearly cashless. #Asda and #Iceland, not too happy with quality. Co-op is ethically sourced, but like #Ocado, #Waitrose and #Marks-&-Sparks, too pricey. I have another plan using our local markets or possibly #Tesco again.
Being in #Tooting, I am spoiled for choice possibilities. I suppose my #breatharian aspirations are unrealistic.
