#introduction I am a mathematician and cognitive scientist by training and troublemaker by inclination. I have been following the mastodon universe from the sidelines for a while now but a recent article made me create an account at one mastodon site which led to the next one and the next one and since then I have been following a trail of interesting sites and people.
As a complete n00b here, I am at your mercy. Tell me what I should know and who I should follow!

I am curious to know if the joins have increased due to the spotlight? I hope this does not cause a watered down effect/vibe for the charter members....
