Maybe if official feeds from actual news sites were relevant and interesting instead of a firehose of shit that they expect you to pay for, people wouldn't feel the need to get their news from social media.

Like, why does one news house even need to cover both entertainment AND politics anyway? Shouldn't they specialize so people can get what they want? It feels like NYT or WaPo are trying to be entire cable packages in a world of cord cutters.
