A #SXSW "AI in newsrooms" panel revealed a use case, described by the BBC's Laura Ellis, I hadn't thought of: Using deepfake technology to put new faces on video interview subjects to guarantee their anonymity (with this use disclosed to viewers) instead of relying on the usual tropes of pixelating faces or leaving the subject in the dark. #futurejournalism

@robpegoraro How would that be better? It sounds creepy to me... Very much a case of "don't fix what ain't broke."
