They really want Google to pay for driving traffic to their businesses? And they got lawmakers on board with that nonsense? How do I get companies to pay me to advertise my services?

Well, start every page of your service with an inspirational quote and put it also in the titel. Then convince a powerful, online media hating and well connected lobby group first and the courts afterwards, that the important part of your business is providing inspirational quotes and that by displaying them (because they're in the titel) search engines hurt your busness. Then collect your money and get cheered as a hero against the evil tech giants by the media.
