CNN - President Biden, according to a senior Democratic adviser, is "being receptive" to call for him to quit the race and is "not as defiant as he is publicly.” https://www.cnn.com/politics/live-news/rnc-republican-national-convention-07-17-24#h_58dbdefaa4eb48b47735ddc3240a3fd7
@w7voa It's just like the Democratic Party to throw away incumbency as the country faces threat of an actual fascist takeover. What a bunch of limp dicks.
@LouisIngenthron @w7voa Context; open your other eye.
And if you'll pardon my saying so, the last person I want this flippant observation from is someone who loses nothing when their advice catastrophically fails our only chance of keeping Mr. Dictator-for-a-Day out of the White House.
@Mtn_Fox You know, it would have taken you like five seconds for you to check my profile and avoid making an ass of yourself with false assumptions.
I have every bit as much motivation to avoid ending up wearing a pink triangle on my arm as anyone else.
And that's exactly why I want Biden replaced. He doesn't have what it takes to beat Trump anymore. We need someone who can, and his running mate is right fucking there and raring to go.
@Mtn_Fox His administration has been pretty solid. His campaign, on the other hand? Just endless gaffes and unforced errors, one after the other.
When you compare his performance, even against himself 4 years ago, he just doesn't have the energy and coherence he needs to GOTV in the middle of the country.
He should have wiped the floor with Trump at that debate. A tie would have been worrying. What we saw was nothing short of disastrous.
@LouisIngenthron Granted, it sucked. But there will be other debates. And while Biden is POTUS, he should be evaluated on his presidency -- which has been solid. Whether we like it or not, there is no replacement with enough gravitas to overcome losing the power of incumbency.
It would be political malpractice to forfeit the incumbency unless Biden has received a terminal diagnosis from his physician.
