Dear #Lazyweb, I often copy and paste UPCs. The humans like the UPCs to have hyphens for readability purposes. The computers cannot tolerate hyphens. On #Windows I wrote a little #PowerShell script to delete hyphens from the clipboard. I've recently switched to a #Mac as my daily driver. What is the appropriate way to do this in #macOS?

@djohngo has tools called and/or that could probably do the job. Maybe take the contents of the clipboard and pass it through the unix command to remove anything that is not a number, or maybe something that uses a (regular expression). I'm not a programmer so I can't give you an exact answer but there has to be a way to do it.
