If you run 22.04 on an based and you are a user, and you have a 4K receiver and any content you play in Kodi looks washed out, you could install but then you would have to give up your Ubuntu desktop (or figure out how to dual boot, but that is specifically not supported by LibreElec) or you can try to build a version of Kodi that will actually display HDR content correctly. If you want to attempt to do that, see this thread:

forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?t

If you are not comfortable with building it yourself, see post #51 in that thread for alink to an already built version, but note you'll probably still need to know a little bit about # Linux to use it because it can't run while X11 is running (not certain about Wayland).

No guarantees on this but if your system meets the criteria it might be worth a try. I am not the author so please don't ask me any questions about it, I'm just passing along the information and link.
