@joey_zozo Ever play any of the Ar Tonolico games?

@joey_zozo I'm not playing a traditional JRPG at the moment. I'm playing Witch and Hundred Knight. It's a cute little dungeon crawler with some really filthy dialogue.

@joey_zozo Hm..I tend to like the stories of the newer stuff better than the really old stuff. If you don't mind a pretty basic story, but really good puzzles, have you ever played Lufia II?

@joey_zozo FFVIII was broken. If you liked earlier Final Fantasy games, you would probably like FFIX, as long as the art style doesn't bug you. Also, Bravely Default is a solid Final Fantasy game.

Seriously, what do you like in a JRPG? I'll happily recommend a favorite.

@joey_zozo I have the remake on my shelf...I am worried that it will make me incredibly angry. If they turn Cloud into some kind of magical savior, it will be an absolute shame.

@joey_zozo More specifically, Cloud's true identity, and what actually happened at Nibelheim. That was glorious.

@joey_zozo I sorta assumed that you were younger than me. I'm 39, but I'm a lifetime gamer, I expect.

@joey_zozo I like difference games for different reasons. FFVII has my favorite plot twist. Lufia II has the most evil puzzle. Devil Summoner has a really battle and exploration system.

@joey_zozo I actually really dislike strategy RPGs. Something about the pacing throws me off. I'll occasionally play Disgaea because I like the Prinnies, but that's it.

@joey_zozo I have not completed all of them. I haven't even played all of them yet. But I've played a lot of them, and beaten most of those.

I've played Saga Frontier and Alundra. I haven't beaten either yet, though I got pretty far in the latter. Haven't gotten back to it in awhile.

@joey_zozo I generally stay away from MMOs, myself.

@joey_zozo If you are interested in Shin Megami Tensei games, Atlus just announced that they're remastering SMT: Nocturne. It's due out next year.

@joey_zozo I have Personas 2 - 5. I'm still on the hunt for number 1. It's gonna cost...ugh.

@joey_zozo I don't have XenoGears. As I mentioned, I disliked it. Also, I have a deep personal loathing for Rogue Galaxy.

@joey_zozo SMT is Shin Megami Tensei. Stuff like the Persona series. The Breath of Fire series is just an old favorite. You can kinda see the evolution of RPGs if you play it in order.
