@ramob @mandlebro I have gotten some callbacks from applications on websites. It really is a numbers game. If you're in an industry where you can get some recuiters on your side, that's the best way. Well, that or knowing someone already in the company.
@hansw You're just going to have to settle for, "Not suitable for human consumption."
@joey_zozo This hurts me.
@freemo I would like to see a calligraphy sample with a 't' done in front of a watercolor sunset background please.
@freemo The 't' looks like a saguaro.
@munitor Did you want to talk?
@joey_zozo Huh. Manjaro keeps SNES9x in its official repository...
@joey_zozo I'm a Frog fan. He has my favorite music, hands down.
@joey_zozo Can I call you a "Square"?
@joey_zozo I just remembered! Please tell me that you played ChronoTrigger.
@joey_zozo Fair enough. And you never played FFXII with the gambit system, right?
@joey_zozo Question for a Squenix fan: I am of the opinion that Final Fantasies (and other, similar properties) are best when the battle/magic system is very flexible. Espers, material, gambits, jobs...do you have a favorite battle system?
@joey_zozo It's never to late to come back to it.
@joey_zozo Oh, if you want some fantastic mechanics, I have LOTS of recommendations. But you should probably start with Lufia II. You'll find it reminiscent of Alundra, but with no platforming.
@joey_zozo Deep exposure is a very nice way of saying, "weird obsession." I'll take it. :)
@joey_zozo My videogames are my retirement plan. I'm just gonna keep working on them till I die.
@joey_zozo Breath of Fire IV had nice music and a lovely story.
@joey_zozo The story was fine, but there was this platform-y jump that was really frustrating to get through, and then the second disk was just video. I was really angry by that point.
@joey_zozo Admittedly, the dungeons are rarely "dungeons", but the game play consists of the Hundred Knight entering a map, exploring it, collecting treasure, killing enemies, and accomplishing the Witch's goals. You have a timer in the form of a lantern on your head. If it runs out, you start to lose HP. If you are out of lantern energy (GCals) and out of HP, you exit the map and go back to base, losing all the items that you've collected.
Heya. I'm a child of the 80's, engineer, nerd, and frustrated optimist. While well-versed in many of the geeky arcana of topics, I am particularly involved in coding, anime, and JRPGs. Outside of that, I garden on and off, sew, and am actively involved in a long campaign to force myself to get some exercise. I look forward to meeting some new folks and maybe working on some interested projects.
