I am getting rolling on getting Diaspora* setup in a virtual machine!

@masterofthetiger Hm, Friendica doesn't federate the actual message to Mastodon...

I am trying out Friendica. I like it so far (it federates with Mastodon). It is interesting how it works.

My goal for hacktoberfest of 10 PRs, I have already made 9.

Hello. I don't have an elaborate story to tell about how I came from Matosphere or something like that, but I will tell you this seems like a nice alternative to Twitter. Nice to see you all!

I always use a blue light filter, and I just disabled it to see what it is like without it. Wow!

@freemo Oh wow. xD. I will repeat this somewhere where I can. Someone might sort of be amused by it.

@freemo My pod is going to be focused on new users more (but I do not want to hinder advanced users either). There is some things that make it harder to understand, and it seems like you cannot like some posts. I am going back to my Hubzilla and testing it out again.

@freemo SocialHome is very cool, but it is not what I am looking for. So that is ruled out.

@freemo I am open to other ideas. I will certainly look into Hubzilla further. I haven't really looked into Socialhome yet, but I will.

@freemo Yeah, but Hubzilla is rather confusing for new users. That is the problem, I have a narrow choice range. Mostly Friendica or Diaspora*.

@freemo The basic design and its Federation network. Which means it really has to be Diaspora*, Friendica (which does support Mastodon as I remember), SocialHome, or Hubzilla
