@MasterNinjaTS I'm lucky in that regard, although that's partially due to the extreme hills surrounding the property. You saw them in my disc golf post. They block much of the light pollution, but our horizon is significantly higher than "flat." 😃

When we lived closer to the city, we were able to see only the brightest stars. I haven't done any astrophotography for a while now, but I'll dig through my photos and post some of the shots I've got from here. Definitely a privilege.

@amadorhippie I'd love to see any shots that you might have. I used to rent a semi-rural home that offered a very faint view of the galactic center and I never tired of it. It's a shame that future generations may not get to easily experience it.

@MasterNinjaTS thanks! It's just time consuming and committing to the process. These were all done with modest equipment, a Canon 350 XT and a Celestron Omni XLT-150. Like I said, I need to get back out and do some more. My imaging laptop is a little long in the tooth though, it still runs XP.
