I’ve never had this happen before but I was interviewed for a plasma physics role that literally matched *every single thing* on my resume. Was really excited bc I thought I got a better job but didn’t get it. Wish I could write back and say “Looking forward to see which random white man with no experience in plasma physics that you picked instead.” Fuuuuuck.
