@mistymorningme@mstdn.party These are way better than hearts!

@carlysagan Okay that makes a lot more sense. I'm hoping that your workstation also has a cat 😀

@carlysagan The heart's a pump, but the imagery is played out. So I figured a 5500 psi turbopump would keep it fresh 😂

The ultimate power move is working somewhere all the universities that didn’t want you need to go to to get scientific equipment calibrated.
(This may or may not be about me.)

Pizza, pain meds, & plasma physics plots. That’s how I’m survivin’

@carlysagan 1. That pizza looks amazing.
2. The ergonomics of that workstation could use some improvement.

Super Bowl day means you're stuck with a Large Dish post from me. This time it's the NRAO's Very Long Baseline Array. Ten 25m dishes across CONUS, Hawaii, and St. Croix which combine through the magic of interferometry to work as a dish that's approximately 8000km in diameter.
Below is the Owens Valley antenna in California.

Another dwarf planet has a ring? C'mon inner solar system, step up your game already.

Approaching a gallon of sap per tap on this first run of a very early start. I have not seen my trees take off like this so early. My north slope sugar maples aren't quite awake yet, but it looked like they're getting going when I pumped out the barrel this afternoon. Forecast is also looking good to keep going nicely for a while. Almost too warm in the middle of the month.

@carlysagan Yeah that line is particularly gross. It's really not hard to just leave people alone.
