"We not only have subjected insects to homelessness, starvation, and chemical warfare but have also, through the unceasing burning of fossil fuels, pushed the world toward temperatures not seen in the span of human civilization. "

Idaho's wolf management plan? Kill 2/3 of all the wolves in the state, give ranchers carte blanche, and allowing sadistic hunters to kill wolves in a variety of cruel ways. In sum: bringing them as close to the edge of extinction as they can get away with. #USFWS needs to #ProtectWolves under the #EndangeredSpeciesAct #ASAP!

There are a few things as despicable as killing sentient animals for fun and prizes! @AnheuserBusch @budlight, are you aware you’re sponsoring a #killingcontest? Do you want your brands associated with people that would shoot cousins of dogs for fun and prizes?
The unrelenting pervasive nature of white history as the default leads to most people forming unconscious ideas about roles we can each play. It is incredibly and sadly common for people to believe that white European society is the pinnacle of civilization, as evidenced by... [waves all around] Never mind that Steve Jobs' father was Syrian, clearly white people invented technology, right? Never mind that mathematics was developed far from western lands, to the point that we now study algebra, or الجبر al-jabr, developed while Europe was mired in tribal warfare.
It's a vicious cycle: if you believe that everything you see was invented by white people, then you believe that white people invented everything, because each set of false information reinforces the other.
Wypipo, open your eyes! Here's a popular meme image of just a few things invented by Black people, and the full list is so much longer. This list is so long mastodon won't let me put the entire text description in the alt tag, so I'll add it as a reply to this post.

The capture of Mexican gray wolf Asha has sparked outrage among those who want to see lobos given the freedom to move and explore outside of their current arbitrary boundaries.
"Asha was showing us where unbound wolves will wander. Her scent trails will beckon the expanding wolf population into places well-suited for the species to survive in a changing climate paradigm," said Greta Anderson of @WesternWatershedsProject.

One of the technical changes that was introduced to the shuttle fleet after the loss of Challenger was the In-Flight Crew Escape System. Its purpose was to give the crew a safe way to bail out if a safe landing site could not be reached.
At 60,000 feet the decision would be made, and the autopilot mode selected to control the vehicle down to 25,000 feet, slowing to 230 mph.
The escape pole was manually deployed after jettisoning the side hatch and moves the crew away from the vehicle's left wing.
The photo shows the system being tested on a C-141 Starlifter
"Someday, #MexicanWolves and northern Rockies wolves will meet; ..." Anderson said. "They're worried about swamping their genes with the northern species, but at the same time they're not doing enough for the genetics down here to ensure the health and viability of the current population."
That's right. All this whinging about genetic vulnerability is the fault of the agencies!! #GoAsha
We were depressed, then dismayed, and now straight up mad. Why on earth did they insist on removing her? #GoAsha #WILDlife
“We have to let wolves be wolves and this heavy-handed management that tries to force them into certain areas and keep them in specific places is not going to work in the long term if we are really hoping to recover this population,” she said.
