@randahl Actually not, while the approval by the committee is an important step, the parliament still has to approve it and a vote hasn’t been scheduled so far. But let’s hope for the best. And then there’s still Hungary…. *sigh* tagesschau.de/ausland/asien/tu

Great Christmas greeting from Danish military expert @anderspuck, who has a number of interesting points about #Ukraine now shooting down Russian fighter jets in the Kherson region.

It has been a really bad week for the Russian Air Force, that has lost five fighter jets. There is a lot of speculation that Ukraine is using the Patriot air defense system in an offensive role, but I just want to throw out there that this might also be what a surprise appearance by F-16 would look like…

The failure of American education over the past 80 years is we taught everybody to reject fascism, but neglected to teach anybody to recognize it.

With this news story making the rounds, it’s important that people keep the difference between a ceasefire and a peace deal in mind. I think it’s likely that Putin would like a ceasefire during the presidential election in Russia, but it’s not likely that he is ready to accept a peace deal at this point.

@anderspuck russia cannot win if we keep supporting Ukraine.

But once we stop, they can. Especially since stopping the aid would lead to cracks in the Western alliances.

E.g. why would and should Europe support the US on China if the US doesn't support us on russia? Would the US come to Poland's aid? Would Germany muster the will to oppose russia in the Baltics without American support?

This week, both Blinken and Stoltenberg reiterated the notion that #Russia has already lost in #Ukraine because they failed to achieve their original goals.
This is the kind of dangerous narrative that I talk about in this video. We have to stop talking about the war in terms where it sounds like Ukraine has already won.

Elon Musk picked a fight with Nordic workers. We’re gonna make him lose. Help us get the message out: Dear @elonmusk - Get unionized or get out!

Oooooooh SNAP!!! Elon Musk is about to realize Scandinavia is not America.

In a new video, political leader of The Red Green Alliance @pelle tells Elon to pack up and leave Scandinavia, if Elon cannot agree with the worker unions.

And before you think that no one can touch Elon Musk, let me inform you, even McDonald’s and Starbucks were forced to unionize in Denmark — that is how strong unions are.

Just now: Prime minister Mark Rutte of The Netherlands says he called Zelenskyy and

“informed President Zelenskyy of our government’s decision to prepare an initial 18 F-16 fighter aircraft for delivery to Ukraine”

@randahl I wonder how large share of those 8.5 million is short stays in the Billund area for visiting ?

With the Prime Minister of Hungary always wanting to be the center of attention, Viktor Orbán must be thrilled, the map makers at DeepStateMap finally gave him his own unique icon on their map of the Ukraine war.

This new video is the kind of journalism which can end Putins war in Ukraine.

Using hundreds of sources, A BBC team has connected the dots and uncovered, how the Russian army suffered enormous losses in the battle of Vuhledar, while commanders and generals insisted everything was fine.

I hope this gets a billion boosts.

In The Iraq War, 40 countries stood side by side with the USA to ensure Saddam was removed.

We Europeans fought in Iraq, not because WE felt threatened, but because a Republican President in the US told us, HE felt threatened.

Today, we feel threatened by Russia. Not because of a flawed intelligence report on weapons of mass destruction, but because Putin is killing Ukrainians on the battlefield every day.

And at this critical moment, Republicans want to hold back the aid?

Shame on them.

Republicans: Biden is an old, frail man who suffers from dementia and clearly is not fit to do any job.

Also Republicans: Biden is a criminal mastermind who is funneling money from China into his crime syndicate, and we need to impeach him, to get to the bottom of this.

Republicans: The US has a serious border crisis which puts EVERY American at risk, and we need to do something RIGHT NOW!

Also Republicans: Merry Christmas everybody — we are off for the holidays. See you some time next year.
