My first... Toot? (I think that's what they are called here?) Having a toddler makes me think of other meanings of the word Toot. 😅

Mostly used Twitter to follow sports, politics, and science stuff, but we'll see what the future holds here...
@lucifargundam Haha, we'll see! I work in the pharmaceutical industry, and I have 2 little kiddos. But my family has (*to the best of my knowledge) avoided Covid thus far. My husband and I are 4x vaxxed (3 Moderna + Pfizer bivalent), and the kiddos are under 5 (so +2 Moderna for both).
Right now most of my focus is on US #GOTV for the Midterms, but hoping to explore Mastodon more after Tuesday.

Some notes on what you just posted...
Not everyone on Fedi(fediverse, of which mastodon is one way to connect to) will agree with you and your decisions. Choosing to get vaxxed or not vaxxed will make you a target if you post/boast about it.
The same goes for other decisions you decide to broadcast into the aether.
Should you be targeted, the only people that can do anything (which won't be much) is you the the admin who runs the server you can an account on. Which will likely be just a mere bam/block.
This is the great strength/weakness of Fedi. Your decisions have consequences and your protections are whatever you put into place yourself.
With that said, I hope you find what you're looking for- learn about unfiltered/self-moderated media, and find out what this federated network has to offer.
@lucifargundam Fair enough. And that makes sense. I'll adjust what I share and use blocks/bans liberally, if/as needed. Thanks for the info, and we'll see where things go.
