I've been catching up on @stancarey's sweary blog Strong Language (https://stronglang.wordpress.com/) and I have a belated offering for the May 4, 2021 #music-related post.
"Nashville" by the Old 97s uses profanity beautifully. This song helped me convince a friend who was trying to stop swearing to rethink his goals 😜

Those are strong lyrics. Changing an f-bomb; e.g., "It was messed up at the time..." just doesn't evoke the same level of anguish.
