As someone who enjoys the Apollo app for Reddit, I’ve been distressed about the new pricing and Reddit’s apparent attempts to drive away third-party app developers. Apollo’s developer (https://mastodon.social/@christianselig) made a terrific app (and the Pixel Pals are adorable ❤️)

Gordon Gekko (“Wall Street”) wasn’t entirely wrong but greed is taking us straight back to monopolies in many areas of business.

Anyway, while reading Reddit posts on this topic I’ve seen a fair amount of fediverse-bashing. I thought this OP made some solid points.
