Quick note, for anyone who finds it helpful:

Self-care can sometimes morph into "self-improvement."

The former is crucial. The latter is a big bucket of shame and judgement, usually filled with someone else's crap.

(Yes, really. It might look like your crap, but I bet you a quarter it isn't.)

While you might want to work on some better habits, *you* are just fine. What you do is not the same as who you are.

So dump that bucket. And take the nap if you need it.

Why do US people not know their own history?

Before folks ask, "Why was I not taught this in school?!" Look at what DeSantis is doing to AP history in Florida. You know exactly why you weren't taught this in school. Because it's easier to get you to accept mistreatment of Black people, if you don't know white American history.
