@justafrog @stux You could make the case that any population of humans that made it to another habitable planet would, by necessity, have been isolated from the rest of humanity for so long that they would have evolved into a separate species by the time they got there. We cannot be an interstellar species because evolution is so much faster than space travel.

What I’m trying to say is.. space is terrifyingly big

Over the next 10 years, it will be essential to fund grassroots, hyperlocal nodes of egalitarian communities. Mutual aid, energy independent/mobility, safety etc. There will also have to be sand in the works, meant to delay or neutralize the worst of the coming administration. That’s why I’m on the Fediverse. Its decentralized nature allows for flux and stability.

Rest up because shit’s going to go sideways in ways we can’t imagine when that troll takes office.
