Elon is trying to say what I’m posting isn’t public information.
ADS-B and ACARS are all over public frequency and are acquired by organizations like ADSBExchange.
This is like saying AM or FM signals aren’t public and that reciciving a frequency is private.
Aviation enthusiasts have been reciciving this information over the air for atleast a decade now. Even companies like FlightAware and FlightRadar24 rely on hobbyists to receive this data.

Just signed up for Mastodon. Hope it doesn’t become a dumpster fire like twitter. This feels like that movie where the humans have to go find another planet suitable for life after messing things up on earth.

can i just say... and im not gonna talk about the horrible south african so much if i can avoid it... the suspended account was posting the flight path of his private jet! that is only dangerous if you expect random enemies in the US to have... antiaircraft missiles???

This is how easily all the little infosec tools none of us think very deeply about can become subverted as tools of fascism.

There will come a time when we will each need to make a stand.

Clearly a link to a Mastodon account is not an instance of

+ malicious links that could steal personal information or harm electronic devices

+ spammy links that mislead people or disrupt their experience

+ violent or misleading content that could lead to real-world harm

That leaves

+ certain categories of content that, if posted directly on Twitter, are a violation of the Twitter Rules

But which of the rules is beig violated? I can't figure that out for the life of me.
