As opposed to what's going on in Republican states, New Mexico is expanding voting rights. When signed by the governor, a new law will immediately restore the right to vote to anyone on probation or parole -- about 11,000 people.

Besides making Election Day a state holiday, the new law provides voters on Native land with language translation at the polls (if needed) and polling places that are closer to where they live.

My daughter is coming to visit! My daughter is coming to visit!

I wonder what life was like in this house. It stands near Jakobsnes, a small village in northern Norway, just a few kilometers from the russian border. The area was hit particulatly hard by WWII, and this house has probably seen many things that we shouold learn from rather than forget.

I began working on this flamingo pastel last weekend during a demonstration. I wasn't sure I wanted to finish because I was using some lesser quality materials but decided to go ahead and I'm glad that I did. It is looser than my current style but I like it.

Walking through the damp woods, we spotted this unique shaped very large #mushroom on a wet dead tree. I had no idea what kind it was and after days of searching for what it could be I finally had to ask a friend who is an Interpretive Naturalist. After a couple days of searching he had finally narrowed it down to a #BlushingRosette as they come in many shapes.

As I made a trip up to the Olympic Peninsula I hadn't watched or listened to any news. If I had I might have found out that a few days prior a fire broke out in BC and the smoke was drifting south.

In the 1970s, I watched as thousands of corporate lobbyists descended on Washington. Fast forward to today, and lobbying has become a $3.7 billion dollar industry.

It all began with the Powell Memo.

One of my daughters got her wisdom teeth out last Friday, so we chose to do a lazy spring break staycation.

I finished playing #DragonQuest11 for the third time since it came out in 2018, and I started playing #Persona5Royal. DQ11 is an all-time fav. P5 Royal has moments of greatness, but it feels inconsistent.

I finally caught up on #TheLastOfUs and then I watched #Ragnarok. I just started another Norwegian show, #beforeigners which is very interesting so far.

We also had a puppy party for my dog's 10th birthday, but I forgot to take pictures.
