I left a corporate job that paid a 6 figure salary to drive a fuel tanker simply because I realised I didn't have the slightest fucking clue what the point of my reports and spreadsheets was. My friends and family genuinely think I'm unwell, but I'm fine.

I can launch a website and sell to anyone on the internet — that doesn’t mean I need to register my business in every jurisdiction on the planet.

I can hire someone remotely to design my website (random example) — maybe even pick someone off the Fediverse — and I’m not required to register in their country to do so.

The only reason I’d register in another country is if I were intentionally expanding into that country.

At that point, I’d want to open an office, hire people not as contractors but as full-time employees with benefits. Alternatively, I could register in a foreign country purely for tax purposes, skipping the physical presence altogether. But either way, doing so would subject me to that country’s legal jurisdiction — in addition to that of my home country.

However, there are a few exceptions where, if I wanted to maintain more sovereignty, I would absolutely avoid them like the plague — as if my very existence depended on it — and the United States is one of them.

Crashing the economy is not an unintended side effect of Trump's stupidity, it's an intended effect of Trump's stupidity.
