I'm seeing some concern that #Europe is not prepared for a full-on confrontation with the #USA. True enough, but not as important as one might think. On December 7th, 1941, #Japan was ready for war; the #USA was not. They caught us flatfooted and asleep at the switch. It didn't make any difference in the end, as the more astute among the Japanese knew it wouldn't.

And the flip side of #Europe's lack of preparation is that the #USA is now much closer than #Europe, in both economic and military terms, to the maximum power of which it is ultimately capable. Or, put another way, #Europe has much more potential to become yet more powerful than the #USA does.

Think how many INDIVIDUAL European nations (not counting #Russia) have, throughout history, shaken the world all by themselves. And now the #Trumpezoids propose to take on ALL of them together?

That's just like a #Trumpezoid, to mistake circumspect restraint for weakness.

I have a MAGA friend, who is not my most MAGA friend only because he is an atheist. His brother was a Republican because he had a very high paying job. The guy is also gay, and he married his husband right around the start of Trump 1.0. The guy is now a Democrat.

The friend also has a niece. Her husband is a cop. Super MAGA. She and I are mutuals on another site. My friend calls me about a year ago. The niece is getting divorced. It's a shame. Their kids are still in elementary school.

Just saw a post from the niece. Is that an 18-wheeler? What is this? She joined her friend, who is a long-haul trucker, on a trip?

As well as threatening #tariffs on #EU #allies over the weekend, #Trump also sent #Norway’s PM a message tying his demands for #Greenland to the fact he had not been awarded the #NobelPeacePrize. Apparently Trump is ignorant of the fact that the Norwegian government does not award the #Nobel.

The message is incredibly pathetic & reads like a drunken text. Trump has fully lost it.

When retaliating against Trump, I hope the EU targets digital services.

Tariffs on Amazon and Facebook incentivises a digital decoupling from the the US, it shows Trump's oligarchs, that supporting Trump is the road to ruin, while NOT preventing the poor from putting food on the table.
