I thought you meant the other meaning for "diametrically".
You can use another magnet to test it, or if you don't have another magnet, then use the Earth's magnetic field by hanging the magnet from a string with the axes either horizontal or vertical to see which orientation acts like a compass.
That's great. For smaller magnets, another thing you can do is to attach a needle on it so that the magnetic field extends outward which allows it to exert more torque.
Of course if you have two magnets, you can just attach them to each other to see how the fields are oriented, but using the Earth's magnetic field allows you to determine polarity.
