I met Tulsi once. She's definitely not the real deal.
@Pat Hawaiians probably feel the same way about her as NYers feel about Santos.
She was one of those politicians who find themselves living in a state that would never elect them because of their party. (She's a Republican living a deep blue state.) So she felt she had to run as a Democrat, which is dishonest from the get-go. This may be what formed who she is, I'm not sure.
Others have navigated that situation more honestly, like Larry Hogan, who won by running as Republican in a blue state.
