Regarding classified documents, the differences between what Biden did and what Trump did are HUUUUGE. Not all classified dox are the same. Just because classified documents were found, doesn't mean Biden broke the law.

For example, as long as it's not sensitive compartmented information, you are actually allowed to send secret and confidential classified documents through registered mail. Civilian contractors that have clearance can take classified documents in their carry on luggage on a plane, as long as they keep them on their person. Storage requirements are fairly lenient. As long as there is a lockable facility, with security alarms, storage is allowed. Biden did exactly what he was supposed to do once he learned of the documents found.

On the other hand, we know that Trump committed multiple crimes related to classified documents. When he left office, Trump purposely and knowingly took highly sensitive compartmented information, the type of information that is required to remain in a secure facility (SCIF), stored it in an unsecured haphazard manner, lied about it, and refused to return it when asked.

National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) tried to get Trump to return the documents for about a year. Not only did he refuse to return them, he claimed they were "his" personal documents, which they were not (he said they were "mine", which they were not). After declaring through his attorneys that they had handed over all the classified documents in their possession (his attorneys lied), he had not handed them over, which is why a warrant and a subpoena were issued to retrieve said documents, which they did.

That doesn't even begin to address the approximately 4 dozen folders that were found in Trump's possession that were empty. Who knows where the contents of those folders are, what they contained, and who he passed them onto? Many White House staff members testified about how cavalier he was about the handling of classified information.

At the Biden think tank, they were cleaning out a storage space and found stuff that probably got lost in the myriad of documents that officials deal with every day and immediately returned them to the National Archives. They looked to make sure they didn't have more, found a few more, and sent them back right away. One difference is that Trump's position is, these are mine, Biden's position is, these are not mine, they need to be returned.

The biggest problem with Biden's documents is likely to be that the Rs are going to continue to spin the hell out of it and try to convince their constituents by repeatedly lying that what is probably a nothing burger (Biden's classified documents) is a reason to vote against their own best interests.
